Service

Why do I need to service my machine? Our machines are well made but like anything mechanical needs the proper care to have a long life. We suggest servicing your machine every 12months for optimal performance. Servicing your machine removes all the lint, dust and fluff that has built up in your machine, updates your machine with the latest software, and helps to identify and prevent problems that can cause damage.

Repair

If you find your machine not at its best, stop! Unthread your machine, check your bobbin area and clean out, check your needle, rethread, if problem is still there then it is time to get some help. If you continue to sew you can cause expensive issues with your machine.

Needles

Needles never seem to last as long as we think they should. Because they are mass produce sometimes the tips can be dull straight from the pack. Needles do a lot of heavy lifting and don’t always get much credit, if your machine isn’t stitching quite right, change your needle.

Bobbins

Bobbins can be the cause of many an issue with your machine. There are things you can do to help prevent this. The first is to check you are using the right bobbin for the machine you are working on. Cheaper ones might help the wallet in the beginning but ultimately cause you more in the long run as the cause spooling issues in the bobbin case. Secondly has the bobbin wound properly, check for how firm it is and for loops, thirdly clean out the bobbin are regularly to remove build-up of lint.
